re-design my website

I have a website with an online portfolio of my graphic design and illustration work. Well, I’m embarrassed to admit I have not updated it in over a year, but that is probably due to the fact I have been very busy with work and have not found the time to sit down and actually do it. My goal is to re-design the entire aesthetic of the site. I want to create a brand new identity for my freelance business. I have experienced many changes in my life over the past year professionally and personally, so I need to show those changes.

It’s been four years… I’ve designed loads of new ones in that time but never had the time to code them.

New goal – have it done and up by the end of Feb (gives me loads of time before I panic in the last week!)

I’m gonna spend some long hours on this I’m sure because, well… there are so many easy sites I can use to blog/share pics/stay connected, etc…I just really want something creatively and uniquely me. I might get discouraged at times because I’m learning all this as I go and frankly it doesn’t spark my interests for any lengthy period of time but I am persistent once I decide that there’s no turning back.

Right now I have around 10 separate sites…and it gets confusing and irritating to maintain. Anyone got any solutions? I am using Macromedia Dreamweaver MX 2004 (I have the whole suite).

It seriously needs an overhaul.

my website, www.frozenoranges.com, is in need of a complete makeover. it’s growing out of its current host, the design work is amateur and outdated, and there is so much i want to add to it.

my goal is to have this project completed by nov 2oo8.

make it a game web site

I need to totally redesign my website. It’s been the same for over a year now and it just needs some sprucin!

This was such a massive redesign that I ended up deleting the old site and uploading the new one fresh. Took forever, and there are still a few glitches to work out, but it’s great, and I’m SO glad it’s done!

Got 2 more big sections down yesterday before work (I worked the night shift). The audio archive is loaded and working and one of the exhibits is done. Not as pretty as I’d like, but I needed that one done and I’d already completed all the research and put it in a neat little package for myself, so it took less time than I thought it would.

Still to do: all the captions in the web galleries, update the database, and check all the cross links.

That sounds like such little stuff, but it’s really not. Plus I need to set up the domain on a new server before uploading, since I’m changing hosts.

. . . And I think I have about 8 days worth of work.

Got a big chunk done today, which is good, but the “to do” items left fall into 2 catergories:

1. Important to the “wow” factor
and
2. Detail work to ensure all the links are correct and it performs as required.

Oh, just little stuff. . .@@
