squirrella admits life is full of surprises.
The carriage ride was like, $40 and we didn’t go through hardly any of the park, just made a little circle. Totally not worth it. Would’ve been better off renting a bike or something.
But taking a carriage ride after lunch at Tavern on the Green is an awesome experience.
My friends and I were visiting another friend in NYC and after talking, realized we all wanted to take a carriage ride through Central Park but had all been “waiting” to do it w/ a significant other. We promptly decided, “Why wait!” and just went together—-and I almost think it was better because it was so impromptu for all of us and the conversation would be hard to beat!
I live so close to New York City and have never even seen Central Park. I figure what better way to first experience the beautiful scenery than in a romantic carriage?
so heres the deal…im 18 and a senior in highschool and want to do some things before i graduate…one of them is taking my girlfriend on a carriage ride through central park..she likes outdoorsy stuff; last week i surprised her with a hike/picnic and she loved it and thought she would appreciate this too…im trying to figure out the whole planning thing so if anyone has done this and can offer some advice id be very thankful :)
and I went with my Dad, who was in NYC on a business trip. The cabbie was a charming young Irishman, who let me feed the horse (named PJ) after our ride was done. This is definitely one of my favorite childhood memories.
