    Brrr... 2 months ago

I almost did this for New Year 2008! We were in New York City for it and that was the part I was most looking forward to! We got up super early and had the biggest breakfast in the world! Seriously, it was stupidly big!! We bought a packed lunch and everything and got to Times Square at about 11! Sooo weird seeing it so quite and full of barriers! We had SUCH an amazing spot. Right where the ball drops and a fab view of the entertainment. The people next to us were pretty cool too, kept us entertained!

Unfortunatly it started snowing, and we needed the toilet and we didn’t anticipate how stupidly cold it was. I mean…we were all wrapped up and everything…but just not enough! We lasted til 7pm…and when we started turning blue we decided we had to give up! I was devestated though!

I will get there sometime though and stay until midnight! I will just go prepared with 50 layers next time!

Is this overrated? 10 months ago

I have never been to New York and cannot imagine going any other time of the year except like NEW YEARS. One year, I will be brave enough to head down there!

I don’t care how tired or cliche it is, I want to spend one New Year’s Eve in Times Square, hopefully as a New Yorker.

There’s something about watching the scene in Times Square every year on television. For one brief happy moment, even in NYC, everyone is in love, everyone is hopeful, everyone has to pee. It’s heartwarming!

This was a great time for me and my friends to ring in the new year together and do a once in a lifetime thing at the same time. Very much worth it!

3 words: cold, annoying, hold your pee 2 years ago

Yah so maybe now that Global Warming is upon us it might be better to do it, but it was freezing in 2001 and my feet were frozen from the slush. I was around annoying drunk tourists (which is fine on a regular day if you aren’t 2 inches away from them)unless you camp out you won’t get close enough. by the time its over you are too cold, hungry, have to use the potty, to actaully go clubbing or anything fun. i would suggest spending the big bucks and goign to a restauraunt party that has a view (from the inside) of the ball dropping.

    howboutno yeah for new year!
