write stories again

This goal has popped into my mind from time to time, but I still haven’t gotten started on writing anything new. I really should.

Lately, I’ve become inspired to start writing again. I’ve gotten many ideas for possible stories and I’m thinking about trying to form them into words.

I haven’t written anything fictional since 2006, I believe. It has been a long time. After college, I just stopped writing stories, for some reason.
Which is odd, because I went to a special college for young people who want to become writers (Oriveden Opiston kirjoittajalukio). I used to write a lot of fantasy, little fairytales, children’s stories. My classmates and our teacher liked my stories. And I enjoyed writing so much, it came quite naturally to me. The gift to write well sort of runs in our family.

Back in college, I really dreamt of being a writer. And it still is a dream of mine, would be nice to achieve it one day. Publish my own books, see people read them.
But in order for me to get there, I do need to start writing again.
