I had never had any kind of surgery, but they put me under and I don’t remember a thing! It didn’t even hurt as much as I thought it would.

...to arrange to take a week off work before next summer and get this done and over with. Scary Mary…
I did! Monday, May 22, 2006: Amy’s first surgery. It went OK, I have a swollen right cheek and I have to take pain meds to get motivated to do anything beyond sit in bed and mourn my inability to open my mouth, but it’s over and that’s what’s important. I’ve been putting this off for ages so thankfully it’s just done.
I don’t think this is particularly a choice so much as a necessity if you want to LIVE. Teeth can become abcessed and cause infection and incredible amounts of pain if you don’t have them out. It did suck tho…..the dr and my grandfather said i signed the whole time i was under anaesthesia…and i vomited blood for a coupla days….and the whole disintegrating stitches thing….
So, I have a huge fear of doctors and any medical procedures. I thought I could get away with keeping my wisdom teeth because the bottom set more or less came in and I had enough room. I’ve never had dental problems in my life BUT last time I went to the dentists’ they found a small cavity in one of my wisdom teeth. Long story short, I have to get my teeth out. I could wait and possibly only do one of them but I decided if I have to have surgery once I don’t want to have it again. So I’m getting all of them out and hopefully before I go off my parent’s insurance. I’m scared but I need/have to do it—so here’s my goal! Just to get it over with!
