I am definitely having less severe migraines. I am pretty sure it is because I am paying alot of attention to my nutrition and getting more exercise.
How I did it: I went to a neurologist and he told me what to do, because something can work for me but maybe not for you. For example: my mom can't eat too much chocolate but I can. She can eat a lot of Doritos but I avoid them. So you have to look for some treatment that really works for you.
Lessons & tips: You need to know your body, if you have a migraine, remember what you ate that day. Try not to be stressed out all the time and it's very important to visit a neurologist.
Resources: My neurologist and some painkillers.

I was getting migraines about twice a week and with school and a job and being in a band and everything, I really needed to find a way to make them stop. Then i realized it kept happening right after I had pizza or quesadillas and stuff so I stopped eating cheese and it has now been 8 weeks since I have had a migraine!
I stopped using artificial sweeteners and my headaches have really lessoned. I go see Dr. Beach who cracks my body back into shape. That helps align somethings that naturally are not in my body. Its all connected.

Had 3 horrible ones w/ in a month and also a lot of regular/neck headaches too. Went to the doc yesterday and Im getting back on Topamax and he also prescribed me Midrin for the onset. Will there ever be a day where I can say “I haven’t had a migraine for over six months”. That would be amazing. They interfere so much w/ my life and I want them gone.

I usually get one about once a month now. I think its hormonal. I used to take Topamax which brought it to only one every 2-3 months but stopped taking it when I had no insurance. I have insurance again but still decided to see how it would go w/o it. So it was once a month but I havent had one since March 1st now and its April 17th. Hmmm….please let it be awhile. I stopped drinking soda late Feb and wonder if that has anything to do w/ it?
The pain and suffering that goes with a migraine. First, you get wicked tired, to the point where you need to lay down. But, it is in the middle of the day and you need to convince yourself to go on. Then, your head starts to hurt, only on one side. So, you go home from where ever you are, pop in the migraine medicine, and throw your head which now feels unattached to your body, except for the pain into the pillow. This is then followed by some tears, maybe 10 or so minutes of sleep, and usually ends in a trip to the ER to get a shot or two depending on what type of medicine they want to try next. And then it starts all over again within the next two weeks! When will this hell end?!
I did all kinds of freaky remedies, but Nutrition was the solution for me. Start with a cleanse & look-out for food sensitivities that are not categorized as official allergies, but are nonetheless giving you headaches.
