travel the US

In 76 days I’ll be on my way!! From Australia to Fiji .. accomodation for 4 days .. flights from Fiji to LA, LA to Vegas, and accomodation at the Luxor for 7 days! That’s all booked and paid for .. then the other four weeks we will go where the wind takes us!! The rough idea is below ..

Washington DC 2 days
Miami 3 days
New Orleans 4 days
Road Trip from New Orleans to Dallas
Dallas 2 days
San Francisco 2 days
Los Angeles 4 days
... then home!

Want to travel there a.s.a.p!

Things seem to pop up all the time and it’s making me mad. Passport has gone back another week .. and we’re probably going to have to get another credit card each to make it! I desperately need this holiday though – and will do whatever I need to do to get it!
My boyfriend’s sister will be in New York at the same time so there’s a friendly face that I will definately meet up with, very excited.

Passport photos taken – and forms all filled in, now I just have to scrounge up the $200 I need to submit them! I’ve gone over the budget again—it looks like it will be 8th May.

Chicago was previously on our “if we have enough money or time” list .. but I’d really like to see the man-eater exhibit on the lions of Tsavo.

Chicago has at least made it further up the list .. over Atlanta and Boston, I guess it all depends on how we go budget-wise between now and October.

I want to travel to every states in the U.S. with my partner.

We had our family Con Call today to confirm dates and arrange where we’d like to visit. Dates have now been set to apply for annual leave – October 17 – November 14. WOOHOO. My sisters are coming so Sala can turn 30 in Vegas, and Jo-Leen would have just turned 21. This holiday is going to be fanTAStic.

My best friend and I are absolutely SET on spending a month in the US OCT-NOV 08. I’ve just finished creating the budget to END all budgets – so it’s just a matter of sticking to it and transferring all our money into the joint acct we’ll be opening tomorrow. I will also need to do more research about where I would like to go because I only have a very vague idea at the moment. ie. San Fransisco, the canyon, Boston, New Orleans, Mexico(I know that it doesn’t count as the US, but i’d like to do it while i’m there.)

My boyfriend and I are about to leave to start traveling the US. We are going to live pretty rustic and stay at campgrounds in a tent. I just don’t want to pull a trailor so we will see how this goes. If anyone has any advice on where to go and which places are safer than others for camping I would really appreciate it.
