choose something which is unique, and different from the rest. like an apple, lampshade, or even a bush.
try to capture then objects in different lights, or angles.
if your talking about day to day life photos, eg family portraits, then try and capture them when they are not expecting it. i know it sounds crazzy, but the best photos come out form naturally. eg, when someone is laughing, take a photo, it shows how hapy they are inside, to other people. which people will enjoy. 2 years ago

On my small morning hike, I took my camera. I realize that I have to consciously slow down and really look. I mean really look – not just be amazed at a sudden visual image that catches my eye. I stop and stare and compose a picture in my head. Contrasts, colors and shades do help in the formation of drama and composition. I took quite a few snaps and I’ll see how it is when I get it processed. 4 years ago

I had a few snaps but nothing really serious. I have a digital camera and that’s all I need for now. Just want to train my eye to look more closely to the composition and values of the image. I recall having a a good visit with a photographer and we both had quite a good discovery of ourselves on how the self is reflected in the pictures you take. It’s quite revealing. 4 years ago

look ma, one leg!
it’s been quite interesting to get photographs each day. Actually I’m taking more than one a day, but there are only a few that are really good.
My question is… if I take 5 photos in a day, can I rest from doing this for 4 days? Is that cheating?
Well, just wondering. 7 years ago
