So get out there and take your country back – we’re counting on everyone to exercise their right to VOTE and get the US government back on some sort of path… I received an e-mail from the camp over at michaelmoore.com reminding Americans to go out and vote, as every one person’s opinion counts more than ever in this age we live in.
Please make sure you go out and vote – we are all relying on it! It’s the chance to change the next 2 years!!!
We’re watching and rooting from up here in Canada!!!
peace to you

Hilary for 2008! Or Condi?? Where is Cheney? All medicated up for his heart and probably half-senile in the basement? And what about Rumsfeld… LOL… all the leopards are showing big spots these days!!
Taliban issue warning as fallen troops returned to Canada

What does this guy have to lose at this point? He is in the last run of his political career, clearly out of his league, in over his head, with a wife none-too happy and a VP who has to be nuts from his heart drugs. Where is Cheyney these days anyway? All I see these days is Condi running her ASS off around the world, trying to fix the mess this administration has created. I say WWIII is not too far off friends…
On another note… Anyone out there in the US know about the 5 Canadians killed by the Taliban in Afghanistan in the last 24 hours??? In recently invaded territory that the Americans hadn’t wanted to venture into? Hmmm… perhaps because CNN has failed to list a story on their website. Why? I mean, we only officially took over when the UN did, one week ago today. Thanks Bush. You’re welcome… again.
Sorry.
I thought the oil crisis (considered to be $60 a barrel a few mere months ago) was going to be avoided by now. Wasn’t that what was promised before going into Iraq? Give me break. We’re excited when it’s NOT $1.07 for a litre of regular grade gas here. I remember when it was outragous to pay even 75 cents a litre in 2000… we were used to the good old days of 43.9 cents; 58.9 was considered high in the 90’s.
After watching the Senators POUND Tampa 4-1 in Game One of the Playoffs, (!) we drove past the gas station on the corner and it was packed. While we cranked our necks to see the price, it was to no avail. What we did see though were cars lined up 10 deep for each of the 4 pump lanes… at 10:30 pm on a Friday night. Not the usual in this neck of Ottawa.
I’m not sure who seems more nuts, the crazy american or the crazy iranian. talk about double standard. i think that is what frustrates me the most; his complete inability DO what it is he was voted to do, Lead and care for Americans and their interests. Not his own interests.
I think if Bush spent even 1/2 of what he has on all his war ball-of-confusion on internal interests, his country would be a healthier, happier place. Improved medicare, reform of the social system, start picking up all those children who WERE left behind, again. COme on…. In my humble opinion, GB (either one: Sr or W.) has let the American people down.
Have a said how happy I am to be Canadian?
I’m not saying I dislike American people; just the opposite. I think they deserve better, as do those around the world affected by that man.
Peace, friends!
