publish a story

Hello. My name is Haley. I love pokemon and naruto. I love writing stories-I have an account on fanfiction too.

tylers mom said they could go 2 the mall and get the latest shoes at 5oclock but it was only 2oclock tyler said mom thats to long his mom said i bet u will find something 2 do so tyler went 2 see if his best friend jimmy could come outside but he was at the doctor so he went 2 see about his other friend bill but he was at his grand moms house so tyler waited and waited 4 about 2 hours but it was still only 4oclock so tyler thought of something 2 do he played with his toys and made some pictures finally when 5oclock came tyler didn’t wan’t 2 leave he had so much 2 do

Right now I am working on a story that I depserately want to get published. I’ve never been published before, despite being a second-year college student, and it’s starting to make me nervous. Writing is what I want to do. I’ve submitted various stories, mostly on whims and of genres I don’t really “excel” in, but now I’m getting serious about it. But the longer I look at the piece I’m working on, the worse it looks. The submission date is March 14, so I’ve only got a few more days to work on it. I want this story published… it’s the driving force in my life right now, as crazy as that sounds. It would be nice to get published, to feel like what I write is worthy of being published. I love writing, I won’t ever stop, but I would like some confirmation that what I want to do with the rest of my life isn’t futile and foolish. I just want to know that there is hope for my writing career.

When I was younger I always wanted to be a writer but now I will be happy with just one good story. I just need an idea.

I’ve now had four stories published—two for money and two not. Basically it comes down to knowing the right people. I had a friend who was doing a book and asked her if she would be trying to include a story on things I generally write about and she of course came back with “Write it for me!” So I did.
