I have been to a formal, not yet to a prom though

It depends on who you go with 16 months ago

I went to a couple of formal events. One was very memorable, because I like the person that I was with and we had fun. I was talked by a friend into taking a friend of his girlfriend to her prom, she didn’t seem to want to make things work and later on said that she didn’t think that we had chemistry. Even with bad experiences, I think that this is something most everyone would like to at least be able to say that they did it. Hopefully you don’t have a Carrie experience!

Last night I went to my school formal and it was awesome!
We requested the chicken dance song and had a great time dancing along and listening to all the fun songs that were played. An awesome time to have with friends and a night I will never forget.

One week, two days until the formal, and also until graduation.

    Yay!

Almost done with this part of my life!

It would be better if there wasn't so much competition and we could just have fun 3 years ago

I went to my year 10 formal in 1995, but missed the year 12 formal in 1997, because I was in Brazil (which I think was a much better experience).

I made my own dress with my mum’s help, and wore it to a few other events like weddings. I went with a table of my friends, who mostly didn’t have dates, and I think this is the way to go, much more fun, much less anxiety. Or maybe I’m just saying that because I didn’t have a date. Although, one of my good friends got dumped by her boyfriend at that formal. Guess I’m lucky I wasn’t in her position.

The actual prom wasn’t that great but getting dressed up and taking pictures with all your friends is fun :) be careful who you let do your hair and don’t pay them and leave unless you are completely satisfied… or you’ll end up like me… mom and sister TOTALLY redoing it!
