My surgery is sheduled for next Friday! WOO! A little nervous, but it only takes 20 minutes at the doctor’s, and the actual surgery is under a minute.

How I did it: I transferred my bonus to my Health Spending Account (HSA) through my benefits, financed the whole cost and now I am just waiting for my check from Sunlife to pay towards the financed amount. The remaining balance is only $1700. Well worth every penny. I just went to my one month follow-up today, and everything looks great (literally!) Read how I did it…
How I did it: I contacted Ultralase, who sent me to a consultation. After this I was booked in for surgery within the next couple of weeks!I was very nervous about the procedure when I arrived but went through with it despite the nerves - the surgery is painless but it hurts quite a bit for a few hours when the anaestetic wears off!I'm using eye drops now, which I need to take for a few weeks - plus I have to wear these weird eye patches when I go to s… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I waited until I was too old to fly for the military before seriously pursuing this, as laser eye surgery disqualifies you for flight status. In the meantime, I hoped a different procedure would be developed, or laser eye surgery no longer was a disqualifying factor.Once my age disqualified me from flying, I pursued laser eye surgery seriously, and my vision problems cannot be corrected by laser eye surgery, so I did not complete this goal. How I did it: Well, it only took 10 years but I finally had the courage and cash to get my eyes zapped in an attempt to rid myself of my glasses. Since I had so many people asking about the procedure, I thought I would jot down some of my thoughts and experiences here!I have had glasses since I was 8 years old and for the most part I didn't mind them, but they were always a pain when I wanted to go on a roller coaster, hang out at the beach, chill in a… Read how I did it…

How I did it: I had been legally blind without my glasses for my entire adult life. Very nearsighted, myopia queen as well as severe astigmatism in my right eye. My vision was 20/1200, which means what a normal person can see at 1200 feet clearly, I could see at twenty feet! My glasses were half an inch thick, coke bottles, and I had to get special contact lenses. And the contacts were getting harder to wear, as my eyes we… Read how I did it…

Went to my consultation, it looks like I’ve got irregular corneas so they may have to do custom Lasik or another similar procedure to Lasik. Need to go back in two weeks for another consulation with my dad after not wearing contacts this whole time, since contacts apparently can change the shape of your eye. So I’m stuck in glasses for now. :(

I have 20/15 vision! That’s better than 20/20! I love it! I suggest doing it if you’re thinking about it. It’s definitely worth every penny spent!

Next Friday is my consultation, WHOOO! No more annoying contacts or glasses if I’m lucky! Just need to see if my eyesight has stopped changing and if I can get the funds together.

I’m booked and ready. May 1st is the day! Very excited. Very satisfied with the knowledge and experience of the clinic I chose: Yonge & Eglinton Laser Clinic in Toronto.
frecklednose is really hungover
Because I am sick of my contacts giving me blood shot eyes all the time! People always think I’m stoned or crying

I seen this advertised for £1,000 for both eyes, I’ve also seen it on tv for over £4,000 for both eyes. I reckon somewhere in the middle is best.

I’m going to schedule this to be done where my parents got theirs done. Maybe a couple months down the road around my b-day? It’d be nice to have crisp vision without having to do anything… just wake up and you’re good to go.
I have $10 saved. I just have to stop myself from digging into it when I need cash.
