I practiced for years, and it’s all in the lungs…for me at least.I can whistle louder than finger whistlers….just take a deep breath and really get into it…but practice really makes perfect and maybe not everyone can do it? Not sure, just know that i can. and hope others can find the secret

I thought finger whistling was something you could either do or you couldn’t. Guess I forgot that at one point in my youth I couldn’t even whistle normally. Last night my friend and I spent two hours practicing and I can now whistle with my fingers!
Now my goal is to consistently get the taxi call loud enough so I don’t have someone turn around to laugh at a squeaky bit of air. (And I have to sort out the ‘nice rear!’ from the ‘taxi!’ call. Accidentally did that a few times…)

Right you wanna taxi whistle, and i wanna show you.
Firstly, get your right hand: index finger and thumb touching; forming a “O” shape or “V” shape, up to you.
Then fold your tongue back over itself, and rest your thumb and finger on top of your tonuge, holding it all in position.
Force the outer lips inwards, and blow out the air between your thumb n joined finger.
It’s that easy, just practice a few minutes a day, and you’ll get it in no time.
Just remember, you may get it straight away, or you may not. Don’t give up, and when you hear that whistle sound, keep at it

well on one site I found it says that you need to train about 5 minutes per day in a few weeks you’ll get it eventually…
well I “sat on it” for a few hours and I’m more than half way there now! =] hurray! =]
