A lot of time wasting is procrastinating. Not all of it, I think, some of it’s just fun. But anyway, some.
And a lot of procrastination is down to something like perfectionism …. or at least the fear of getting something wrong.
I liked this brief article on taming perfectionism, and the Japanese idea of wabi-sabi:

suzisuzi colour my life with the chaos of trouble
It’s been a strange few weeks and I haven’t been very motivated.
So I’ve switched tacks, to giving myself much more of a structure to my day. I will also note how well I’ve done each day (and sum up here every week).

.. so I’m trying a suggestion of keeping a calendar with a mark for each time I slip (got this from Wiki How). So that I can see the marks reduce over time – which they will.

Still easy to get distracted – but I’m really pleased with my progress so far – and I’ve kept away from the worst time-sinks for a whole fortnight now :)

So far so good – gone a whole week without just switching Leechblock off :)

Just rationalised my RSS feeds, including dropping a few. Feels great :)
Also used LeechBlock (Firefox plugin) to block some sites and limit my time on others. Can be a bit too easy to get round (just switch it off) but it all helps.
