I was nervous about conducting my first interview, but it went well. Four more interviews this week, and then we’ll decide to whom to make an offer.

We whittled down our applicant pool to six people to invite for interviews. Today I called all six. One already has a job. Four are scheduled. I left a message for the last one to call me back.
Next week, I’ll be interviewing like crazy, and hopefully, by September, we’ll have a new writer on board.
I’ve attended interviews when my manager hired a programmer once, but I’ve never been in charge of the hiring from start to finish before. It’s an interesting process.
