One of my other goals on 43t is to find a lucky penny every day. My results so far have been incredible. For almost 100 consecutive days I have found some type of coin in the streets of my neighborhood.
I caught this goal a while back and decided that in order to receive you also have to give. My regular lunch routine involves buying a sandwich and a diet Pepsi and from Five dollars I get 25 cents and a penny. I have taken to leaving that penny head up on the steps of the Italian grocery store every day at lunch.
The other night I was out at a meeting and had to pay for parking. I arranged 8 lucky pennies head up on the ground in front of the ticket machine for someone else to find.
I recently sent a set of 12 of my lucky pennies overseas to a friend who is serving in Afghanistan as a combat medic. He apparently gave them out to all his comrades and here’s hoping they all come home in one piece.
