I’ve been doing this all along. I enjoy seeing the breadth and depth of what I’m working on and have done.

I’m glad that even though I started with lots of physical fitness goals, I’m balancing myself out better by adding some spiritual and community goals.

Being a visually-oriented person, I really like the tag overview of my 43 Things.

Wow, I'm done. 2 years ago

That was fast. Two days to tag 54 Things.

    Mission Accomplished. Now what?

WOW! I think I did it! 2 years ago

I went through all my goals last night and today and tagged them, so all the ongoing ones are done. Now I just have to do the “done” ones.

Then this goal will be accomplished! go me =)

Oh. I guess I see, but... 2 years ago

    ...what does it do?

I’ve tagged 6 of my goals so far.

Is this supposed to help ME find things I’ve already done, or help other people find cool things they might want to do.

    Both, I guess.

    Right?

All of my Active goals are tagged, and since part of the point in my tagging things was to see what I’m working on, I shall consider this goal complete. I will tag completed and Given Up things later…
Like many others have said, I like the perspective this can help give on where priorities lay.

Well, I’ve got most all of my current goals tagged, and some of my completed ones, too. Next is to look at the tags and go thru and get rid of duplicates. Like, if I have 5 tags for photography and 5 tags for pictures, and they are all the same goals…i only need photography OR pictures, not both. Cuz I’m tagging for my benefit moreso than the benefit of other ppl finding similar tags. (which means I need to go thru and retag some things, cuz when I started tagging originally, it was for the benefit of the site, I guess you could say)

I have 312 completed "things" 3 years ago

plus 42 active things, and 27 things I’ve given up on. Often I’m making an entry that reminds me of another goal I’d like to reference, but I can’t find it! Why don’t I just put tags on every goal when I first add it to my list? I guess I’m usually on a roll thinking about the changes I want to make and writing entries about that.

So, today I’ll make sure all my active “things” have tags. Later on I’ll go through the completed things and check those.

    almost there :)

I didn’t start tagging until I got 43 things listed… I definitely recommend doing it as you go along. But it was pretty interesting in the end to find out where my focus is, in terms of my goals. Certainly worth doing.

    Done! 4 years ago

It really did take no time at all. There were a lot of similarities in my goals, kinda interesting to see.

lovingeveryminute asks, “OK, so I've been on 43T for about 6 months now and I feel like I'm still just learning things about this community. Tagging broadens exposure to your entries, right? How do you know what tags to put on what goals? I guess I don't quite "get" it.”
