See Jet in concert

I finally saw them! They were great, though the audience wasn´t all that good. They seemed to think Are You Gonna Be My Girl was the only Jet song to go crazy on. Shame, ´cause I think it´s not even their best song…

Sunday, December 17, 2006, I got to see my favorite band in concert at the Pageant in St. Louis! IT WAS AMAZING! I also can’t believe that I got to shake hands with Nic Cester and got his autograph after the show, I’m sooooooo happy! They rocked, they played with Angels and Airwaves (who performed awesomely too), Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, and Autovane (or is it Autovain?). I want to see them again for sure, and this time I want to have a camera so I can get my picture taken with them! I’m kickin myself over that one. Grrr!

Thank you, thank you, thank you, jeherv, for hooking me up with a ticket and going to the show with me tonight!

So Jet is finally coming to Atlanta, but it’s for a show featuring three other bands. I wouldn’t mind seeing the Killers, but Alice Peacock is also coming to town that night and I LOVED her last show.

Aargh. Do I want to miss a relatively easy evening with Alice Peacock to brave the arena crowd, parking, etc. to hear one of my favorite bands play for an hour?

Honestly, it’s a tough call.

Here’s the schedule for the arena show:

Doors Open – 4:30 p.m.
OK GO – 5:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
AFI – 6:35 p.m. – 7:35 p.m.
Jet – 8:10 p.m. – 9:10 p.m.
The Killers – 9:45 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.

I’d really like to see a show with Jet headlining. Maybe I should hold out for that…??

I’m totally going to see Jet in St. Louis in December!!!! WOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOO! My fav band.

Argh! I was supposed to see them last Sunday, but they had to cancel the show so I was really, really disappointed! But I HAVE TO see them another time! They are really cool!

I was very tempted to buy a ticket to Toronto for the JET show tonight. Glad I didn’t, as the lead singer’s laryngitis forced them to cancel the show.

Hopefully they’ll come through Atlanta later this year…fingers crossed!

I entered to win a trip to Las Vegas to see Jet at the Hard Rock Hotel next month. If I win I will shit my pants. Literally.

I have dreamed about seeing JET live for a long time now. They rock it so hard. Most of my friends don’t like them at all, but I love them and their music will always put me in a good mood.

JET have announced a set of dates running up to the release of the new album SHINE ON due in U.S. shops October 3rd.
Tickets will be available via Ticketmaster.

I want to make plans to go visit my friend in Houston so I can see them that Friday night, but there’s already a show in Atlanta that Saturday that I don’t want to miss (Jose Gonzalez). Come out with the winter dates, already…I can’t stand this not knowing if they’ll make it to Atlanta!

I’m going to try to start a “see Jet in concert” fund since I have my new job.
