    ordered a modern kilt (light manmade fabric rather than wool) from Geoffrey Tailor in Glasgow, and used it since for ceildhs and walking the hills – both in Scotland and Switzerland.

    Cost me about £120 plus £10 for kilt socks, £8 for flashes and £50 for a sporran. Given what kilt hire costs, this is a bargain, and i get to use it as often as i like.
