help someone across the street

I helped a blind woman over the street when I was in my early teens, she asked me to. But she sounded angry when she asked me, and even that I did my best to do it right she sounded annoyed with me afterwards and when she had left I cried (I was a sensitive child) because I felt so stupid and didn’t know what I done wrong.
