give more to others

I consulted a psychic
she told me i was out o’ whack
had been giving too much
Needed to be open to receive
she offered to balance me up
to the tune of 16 hundred bucks
I could pay half now, of course
that made my blood corse
wish I could give this given’away
i’d like to get some giving myself

How do we give?
A smile to a stranger as you pass in the Morn?
Holding a door for another at the grocery store?
Allowing granny to cross the street instead of mowing her over?
Not adding pain, and pollutants to this world by holing up in our mountainous Himalayan cave?
by promoting democracy in Iraq?

I am working on a photo magnet board for everyone at work. We are all barista’s at Starbucks. I am taking pictures of everyone and making magnets for the board in front of the bar. There is an area that says working today: So we can all put our picture/name up when we are working. The other day a few people called me by name. It was because our photos and names were up. Fun!

I am always doing things for others. I believe I do something for others every single day of my life. I find that many people just do not get that what they do in life affects many people around them. Just simple stuff that people do can affect so many people. Today I stopped in to work to fix an order that I needed to fix before Friday and it was my day off. The workers were kinda shocked that I wouldn’t punch in. It took 10 minutes…plus I got a free $3 drink. Then I noticed that the large cold cups were low. I mentioned to the shift manager that I didn’t think they would last till next Tuesday. Both the shift and another employee said let someone worry about it tomorrow. This is what I mean—-I took it upon myself to call another nearby store and borrow the cups. Drove there and brought them back to the store. You see that will affect everyone working till next Tuesday and all the customers that order large iced drinks when we run out. My actions to give to others will affect many people this week. Everyone should think more about giving more to others. It makes a difference in many ways to everyone in the world.
