I was able to check this off ‘my thangs list’ effective last week. The setting on which the memorial exhibits and actual Arizona is open, beautiful, peaceful. One can peruse the museum before watching the 20 minute historical summary of Pearl Harbor’s attack (an apt, inclusive account with diverse footage)—and the being shuttled via boat across the harbor to the actual USS Arizona’s memorial site.
NOTE: Tickets are required; go early to draw your group-numbered ticket e.g. tickets are organized via chronologically numbered groups — to ideally get called to view both the film and the Arizona in a shorter length of time. I vote arriving early by 7:am.
