And then Atlanta. I love being in a city, except for traffic. :) It’s awesome to have amazing opportunities for entertainment and education come your way simply because you’re in a big city. I liked Boston better because you can walk everywhere, but I love Atlanta’s weather.
How to move to a big city
How I did it: i love big cities. it definately didn't happen the way i thought it would. i'm working full time for a non-profit (art of living foundation) and they needed YES!(youth empowerment seminar) teachers for a high school pilot program here. so... i'm here until december or may.
yay!

After a life in suburbia, I’m off to Philadelphia this summer. My cat is going to have issues with the downsize from the big, comfy house to a studio apartment somewhere!
... I’ve grown up in the same small town and I’m so fucking annoyed lately. I hate going out now cuz all I do is run into the same fucking people everywhere I go. Lately my friends have been telling me “dude you should have gone out last night… you missed out!!” ... but what exactly am I missing out on? The same exact thing that happened last Friday is going to happen again this Friday, and the same fuckin idiots are going to be there.
I’m bitter.
2 more years and my girl will be done w/ school and then we’re gone!
When I graduate I am promptly moving to a big city! Maybe New York or Chicago, or maybe something not quite as big but close. Anyways, someplace huge with a big music scence, where you can walk around new and random places everyday, and filled with extremely diverse people. I don’t care how poor I’ll be! I don’t care how much danger there is! I don’t care how “unfriendly” the people are! I don’t care how dirty it is! I’m going! And there’s no way I ever coming back again to Hickville, USA!
i did it a while ago.. next friday i leave for amsterdam with just a suitcase :D
I just want to move around, find my place, and have a life.
That is all.
I lived in a big city all my life. I moved to a small one three months ago and I miss the lights, the sound, the people. I miss being anonymous.
In a year (or 18 months) I want to be back in one.
randysable is being more responsible.
yeah, it’s kinda nice living in a city with a year-round pop of more than 2,000. Although I have to say, had I the money/job, living in the ‘burbs would be preferable. But good times nonetheless.
yakuza who has missed me?
I also lived in New York City. That definitely qualifies! I definitely think it’s worth it, but in this post-9/11 world, be careful to plan your route if you’re moving to DC. You won’t get anywhere near the Capitol in a U-Haul. Trust me.
