Last summer the museum in Adelaide had a whole special egypt exhibit and my family went to see it. It was cool. Tehre was mummys and artefacts and canoptic jars and the whol biz. Bought a set of small model (let me state that model, not real) canoptic jars to takehome. Theyre now sitting on my shelf withall my other ornaments and junk.
How to see an egyptian mummy in a museum
How I did it: My then-boyfriend-now-husband and I vacationed in London and made a stop at the British Museum specifically to see the mummies. I honestly felt a little silly because I think I was expecting it to look like the typical mummy I picture in my head from the movies, but it was so different. There is so much more to see there, it is almost overwhelming, but if you take it in bits it's a very worthwhile stop. Helps to do a bit of research before you go--just a little from a tour guide book or online. Pick your must-sees if you only have limited time.

as a youth in D.C. Many years later I was able to visit the British Museum, and saw many more, several I’d studied while an Archaeology major in college.
The British museum was so amazing, I’ll definitely go back one day.
I hope to see the egyptian mummys in Cairo some day – along with many other sights (pyramids, Luxor, valley of kings) someday.
