Being in a service field, I’m sure this will happen at some point or another. I’ve donated blood, plasma, etc. for years and am an organ donor, but I’ll never really know about the lives potentially saved from those things. I want to visibly, physically, memorably impact someone’s life so powerfully at least once while I’m on this earth that they can say, “I wouldn’t be alive if not for her.” What an awesome thing to be a part of.

How I did it: Found a lady that had gone missing in some nearby woods. She had stopped breathing but had a very weak pulse. Covered her over with coat and then gave her mouth to mouth and hey presto she started breathing again. As she warmed up her pulse became stronger. She stopped breathing a couple of more times before paramedics arrived but she was esy to get started again. She survived as well. Moral of the story - do some current first aid training. How I did it: I've saved many lives; both human and animal. It's not only medical emergencies that arise, which can take another's life. Some examples of ways I've saved others lives would be, saving from drowning, CPR, counciling, helping them avoid suicide-physically and emotionally, injuries sustained by accidents, being on the scene and calling for help, and etc. One thing is to be alert. When you see something, don't think about anything other tha… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I spoke to him for 20 minutes and finally got him to get down and discuss what was upsetting him. He realised that what was upsetting him was the fact his girlfriend would not listen to him. He decided it was best to wait a week to think about what he wanted and how he could make things work out between them. Read how I did it…

At some point in everyone’s life that has ever existed,
They have saved someone’s life.
I was dating someone that struggled with a really bad drug habbit. One evening he collapsed on the kitchen floor after using a prescription pain patch intravenously. He turned blue and went into respiratory arrest. While he didn’t need chest compressions, I kept breathing air into him every time he would turn blue until the emergency crew arrived. After being intubated and given Narcon to reverse the effects of the drug, he came to. Emergency and hospital personnel told him he would be dead if he would have been alone. I couldn’t stand to think of telling his mother that he had died and I couldn’t save him. Even though we are no longer together, we will always be best friends. His drug habits have improved.
save someone’s life is somthing good for knowing the meaning of life
Someone pointed out to me that I have already completed this goal because I have donated blood many times. While it is undeniably true that donating blood saves lives, that was not what I had in mind when I entered this goal. I want in some way to personally and immediately save someone’s life. So I am not going to check this goal off. I am going to keep it and hope that some day I have the opportunity to save someone’s life, and that I perform well during the emergency and have a successful tail to tell.
Guess I’ll just have to hang out dangerous places more often :D (just kidding)
I think it’d be nice to do this. I want to save someone, even if it be an enemy, and then just smile and go on with my life.
As an RN, I’ve done this many times. Many, many times when I worked in the ER for six years. Now, as a nurse in labor and delivery. I don’t think there’s anything special about it…anyone with the chance would do it. Besides, it’s my job. :-)
