I was already able to do this as soon as I started bench pressing, but I did push ups and other stuff before to help me work up to it.
How to bench press my body weight
How I did it: Listening to the bigger guys was very important. Always push yourself to do more weight, even if you can only do the 1-4 reps, push yourself, your body WILL adjust.

Finally, I changed how my workouts were and the weight I was lifting rose nicely.
205 pounds on the bench press today. WooT! Almost didn’t make it, I tried 210 pounds first but failed. I pulled it through for this though. (I weigh 194 lbs.)
I’m 15 years old, I weigh 154 lbs, I can bench press 236 lbs.
This of course is all thanks to OCD, I excorcise compolsivley for an hour a day 4 days a week and spend 6 hours on saturdays doing parkour training.
But a healthy diet of iron and protein mixed with other essential food groups is very very important.
i weight about 137 last time i checked, and I pressed 135 last time I maxed, so I’m right at it!
woot
I’m still weak as hell. I won’t be hapy till I hit 200lbs
people, find your max, then find 75% of that, and do 4-5 sets of 10.
it works..
oh..and lots of protein mixed with carbs.
i can do more than 10reps at 75pounds im 14 and my body weight is 110 pounds. i wanna be able to do this in two months
After warming up with ten reps at 135 pounds, I put on 50 more pounds and was able to do two reps at 185 pounds. I weighed myself, and I weighed 184.8 pounds (at 19% body fat). So it’s doable!
I benched for the first time in awhile on the fifth. I benched a set of 9 at 75 and a set of 9 at 70… along with doing some other stuff. We hd just done a really tough workout so I was realllly exhausted. I was somewhat proud… for only like the second or third time since May… I’m doing alright. Only 55-60 more lbs to go? woo. haha <3
Sarah said that we don’t need too much arm strength in xc so we don’t do much lifting, but we do a lot more in track so we can lift more then (: Apparently it’s her goal too! We can get it together :D yay!
I was in the weight room the other day for the first time in 3-4 months. I benched 65… half waythere. pathetic. I really should’ve never stopped lifting. woulda/shoulda/coulda.
I am going to look like a weakling this fall – crazy college kids who actually lift. sigh I’ll start working on it… push-ups here I come…
I bench pressed slightly less than half of it today…
of course it was easy and my first time benching in about 3 months, but still…
I need to start working out more… like outside of runnning…
and I need to start running 7 days a week.. no more taking days off. I only have four and a half weeks left… ikes <3
I’m going to use my rest days from marathon prep for strength training. Started on the machines today. I know, I know, there’s no substitute for free weights…
