Yups, I would love to go there and experience the sun, the sky, the starry nights, the air, the culture, the roibos tea, the pumpkins, everything just like it was in those books…the blue sky…it’s insane how many beatuful places there are on this planet…if only people could be a little less poor there…sigh…but that would be a whole new goal altogether…

Botswana is lovely, and the elephants are amazing! This is a gorgeous area to go to, and highly recommended!
I spend my 12th birthday on the Okavango Delta in Botswana… I saw the sun goes down on the water (where crocodiles are!)... It was one of the most beautiful places I’ve been!
Travel experiences have allowed me to open my mind, heart and soul in ways I hadn’t even imagined was possible before the trips. Botswana’s beauty lies in the gentle grace of the people, the abundance of animals and the stunning landscape. Whether you experience Botswana via Overlander, safari lodges, camping in the National Parks or some other way, I promise you will be blown away.
I would like to visit Botswana next summer (2006). A friend of mine went on a safari there led by a local woman who is very familiar with the country. My primary knowledge of Botswana comes from Alexander McCall Smith’s charming books about the #1 Ladies Detective Agency. I am also concerned about the people of Africa and their relentless struggle with AIDS, famine and violence and want to visit in person. It appears that Botswana is a stable place to start.
