And I would love if I were employed at a bookstore.
But I don’t know where to apply.
the places I thought of aren’t hiring..
and I wanted a more independent bookstore.
:/
I guess I’ll just keep loitering inside, sitting around reading whole books at a time and never buying them because I have no money until maybe one day, One Day! I’ll get hired there.
It would be cool. working at a flower store sounds nice too.
:)

And how much do they pay typically? Is it basically impossible to find a job a independent bookstores (ie. not borders/B&N)?
Wish me luck :)

Don’t need the job. This is still be something that I’d be interested in if the conditions were right.

i work at coles in my mall, and it is so much fun! you get so many good deals, and when you are straightening you see so many new books that you will read and yes it’s amazing (my fave job so far)

You have to try it, else you’ll wonder, but it may not be as great as you think. Make sure to work in a busy one, otherwise it can be incredibly boring.

Worth doing for the employee discount, free advance copies, working with books (and in my case movies and music) all day, talking to customers with interesting suggestions, introducing people to your favorites.
Not worth doing if you work for a large corporation whose policies are soul-sucking and actually counter-productive.
