It helps that I now have a new (yes!) job that requires me to be up by 7:15 am on M W and F. Of course, tuesdays and thursdays can still be tough since my college classes are evening ones but luckily Saturday & Sunday don’t count. Nine o’clock-ish is perfectly fine for weekends. :P

This goal is officially being changed from “turn out the lights by 11 pm consistently” to “get out of bed by 7:30 am consistently”. I just have to face the fact that although I live with a family of early birds, I am a night owl and at 11 pm I am simply not ready to sleep. It’s not that I’m grumpy or grouchy in the morning, or can’t drum up enough energy to function properly, I am just at my most alert and ready to go at seven o’clock in the evening rather than seven in the morning. No use making myself miserable trying to reverse an unchangeable trait that isn’t causing me harm. =)

I seriously have a love/hate relationship going on with this goal. I’m definitely considering making the switch to “get up by 7:30 am consistently”. Am wondering if that will be more effective.
