Casefred Is awesome? nu..
How much fun would that be!
haha.
:)
How I did it: I had seen them advertised and I have always wanted to go so I planned a day trip to the nearest convention. It was amazing and I highly recommend it.
well im going to one this saturday and i am so excited!!
i cant wait to do this but i want to find a nice costume but i only have like 6 days to do so because i just found out about it.
i live in new york and they are having one called the New York Anime Festival this year (December 7-9) but im only going on saturday since it’s my first time
I would love nothing more than to go to an anime/manga convention! The very thought just gets me all excited. And I would definitely want to cosplay (though sadly I doubt my sewing skills would be any good). I just love anime/manga and I would love to learn more about it. Plus, the idea of being in an environment surrounded by people with similar interests is always great too as I can learn new things from them as well.
kujassilverdragon is full of puv.
So fun! There’s quite a few in England now, too. Universities have mini ones, book stores organise them, and then there’s the biggies. Right now it’s Book Week in Lincoln (England) and they’re setting up ReCon at the Lincoln Drill Hall on the 20th May. I’m going in Cosplay as Kamui from dot.HACK, and my friends are going as Magi, Zefie, and Noriko from Battle Royale.
I’ve gone to Anime Central a few times. Good times!!! Spent WWWAAAAYYYYY too much money though lol.
...DO IT!! You’ll meet so many amazing people and do amazing things!! It will be the best couple of days of your life—Until the next con.
I’ve only done two cons (Anime South 06, Momocon 07), but I’ve made some lasting friendships. Trust me.
Do it.
LOL it was quite fun! but the stuff are soo pricey, man! i went there twice in two consecutive years with my brother. however last year i missed it because i had to go to a symposium. it’s usually crowded and you see so many different kinds of people. we also got to see some anime.
The only reason I did this was because mc chris was performing at one. His concert was worth the 30 bucks it cost to get inside, but the rest of the experience was neither here nor there. Got to stare at kids dressed up in costumes, got to hear a bunch of words that make no sense, and saw a couple japanese movies.
Well, I thought it was rather interesting. I never been to a con before so seeing everyone dressed up as characters, seeing them being very detailed orientated….yeah it was pretty interesting. But I personally loved the mad discounts I could get on all the anime stuff and loved the stuff that I could get that I would never have the opportunity to get.
