How to go back to college

 "My experience once a rough one however, i gain maturity from it."
How I did it: Well my mother decided she wasn't paying a penny. I went one semester away and then i couldn't afford my 2nd so i came back to brooklyn. I decided to get a job and after a month of being unemployed, I got a job at DSW the shoe store. I'm living with my sister. Soon i decided to go to the art institute in manhattan and I got it. I got alot of loans but im glad im going back. I decide to use all the money my mom saved up to help wit my loans.I was stressed because my mother makes alot of money and the gov. don't care if your mother is supporting you or not. Therefore I have to pey almost full tutition of 53,000 (almost). However, I was approved for loans andI don't have to pay a penny out of pocket until i graduate.I'm glad because I'm doing everything myself. Even thou it is stressful. I hope my job don't affect my school activity because i need both. in the end it;s worth it Lessons & tips:

How I did it: I was in a starting-then-stopping rut. I kept getting something wrong with financial aid, and then just... backing away again. It doesn't help. You have to dive in there, and just DO IT! I went in to the actual community college of my choice, right in the middle of a semester. I TALKED to them. I told them what I wanted, why I wanted to go back to college. I WENT to the Advising Center. I WENT to the Financial Aid office. I just kept goin… Read how I did it…

How I did it: This can be exceptionally hard when you have little ones. The cost of daycare can be crippling. If your significant other is also going back to school, try to match your schedules so someone is always home. Ask nearby family if they can help out. For years I have wanted to return to college.
I have a very detailed plan that goes along with this:
1. Work while saving up money to pay MACC back a little at a time and get out of debt completely.
2. After paying the college, enroll in online general classes at MACC or Columbia College.
3. After completing the general prerequisites that I will need for any profession that I wish to choose, I will make a decision as to what I will major in.
I'm not giving up on this

I’m just going to put it aside for now. I don’t have the money and am not sure when i’ll get it. I’m really not sure what i wanna go for.
Brazilliant is getting her life back :P
I started the college when I was 22, but my daughter was a baby at that time, to eventually I had to leave to keep working. In Brazil the college system is different.
Right now Im in Norway and in fighting to a chance to come back to study, since everything that I do always stop in the part that Im getting older and just became nothing! I will apply for next year here and I hope that I can get back.

after i get my associates degree i’d like to get a BIA ( bach in integrated studies. marketing, communication, business ) with a minor in music. First I have to pay off debt, get a car, and save money before I go back to school. That may take a while. :P
Paying of debt and getting financial aid

I consolidated my student loans that were in default. That made me eligible to apply for financial aid again and I’m approed for $5000 in grants for school.
Now in order for me to get accepted to a local university I need to pay off $3000 to Eastern Michigan University so that they can release my transcripts.
I am trying to take a class at a local community college so that I can get a refund check and then I hope to place that refund check torwards my debt to EMU.
So now I am just waiting to get enrolled in a class. It is now fall so I will probably have to wait until January to start
I'm doing it.....

I got accepted back into UVM today after being dismissed in 2007. I will be returning in Fall of 2010 and hope to finish my degree and graduate from the university. :)
