I’ve been to Japan once, almost a year ago, and got to see Tokyo, Nagoya, and Kyoto. I would love to go again!
People doing this are also doing these things:

teadrinkingraven is looking up ways to make money
Kyoto to visit Junko
Shopping with Aki
Pick up Kansai-ben
Go to snowy mountains in Hokkaido and watch monkeys from a boat or onsen (especially this)
Eat Okonomiyaki without burning a hole in my wallet
My best friend mentioned she wanted to go sometime that wasn’t during winter, and I said I wanted to go too! I’m really wary of the $1k+ plane ticket, but hopefully I can earn some extra side money selling out. Our aim would be to hit Tokyo for a couple days to shop, Tokyo Disney Sea, and then visit Osaka since neither of us have been there before (the food is supposed to be great too!)
The hardest part for me is finding time this year to go. Almost all my vacation time is used up, and then soon after I start school. The first vacation we get is during Christmas…
I stayed in Japan for 3 months with my ex girlfriends family.
I really think I would love to stay there again.
You know someplace is special for you when ages after the fact, your still remembering and recalling it with longing…

i grew up in japan. and i miss it now and then. i wanna go back just for a few months.
Do it once – great. You get a little bit of an idea of what’s available. Do it again? Choose an area away from the cities and stay there for a good period. It’s the best way to really experience the culture. And even then, you’ll need to come back many more times to even come close to understanding all the nuances and intricacies of Japanese society.

Just like what i said when i first visit Japan, only your mom can help you…
I went in the beginning of November and loved every minute of it! I cannot wait to go again and would like to get back there in a few years!
