write some short fiction

So I’ve now finished another piece, bringing my total to three. True, they all need rework to be publishable, but I feel like I’m finally making progress. I have two more in the works, and notes on another two or three.

The challenge now is in doing the clean up and refining of the pieces I’ve finished, and get them submitted to the various possible publishers.

I’ve finished my second piece, and have two more started.

But I just might go back to “redemption” and tweak it one last time.

This piece (which began as Eric 15 years ago, then became Mirrors, and now is Redemption of Dogs) is finally finished. Yes, I mean it. No, I don’t care if every writer in the world comes out and says “it would be perfect if you just…” _{ok, so I’m open to some redlines, but that’s IT} I’m not going to fiddle with it any more. It’s done. Period. Have a nice day.

I am moving on. I’ve got another long short story about half-done, and just started another. working title is “Mutual of Omaha”. : )

so i finished the piece that started as “Eric”, at least at a final draft stage. It’s now called Mirrors, and it’s seven pages long, and feels right.

I’ll brush it in the rest of the way this month, but at a slower pace. I want to get on with writing a new piece. The working title is “the prize”

because i’m bored of not writing my novel.
