Hey peeps,
I realized what some of my problems are.
1. being on the computer too much
2. getting spoiled to the AC (not wanting to sweat and get nasty)
... I figured these things out during the PAST WEEK due to not having any AC in 90 degree weather (heat index over 100). It’s gotten me out of the house more, away from the computer, AND has gotten me sweating. I have actually found that I have been more motivated to work out now. I got a good workout at the fitness center Saturday. I can go over there for free 7am – 4:30pm M-F no problemo, so I’m gonna let up on my long term goal a bit and go wit a short term goal (that is a bit more reasonable) of simply losing 10 pounds. I’d like to do this within 1 month, but will be happy if I can accomplish within a few! My last checkup I had gained 1 lb from my TOPS at 195 lb – 69 inches!!!
Another thing that got me motivated was looking at older pictures compared to newer pictures of myself. I never FULLY realized how much weight I’ve put on. Then, I started lookin in the mirror and I’m not happy with the FLUFFY FACE! (gotta do somethin about it) ... SO ANYWAY, TODAY IS WORKOUT DAY!

Hi there,
Figured I’d write an update considering I just purchased some exercise videos and a little “soft” 5 pound dumbell for aerobic exercise. I think it will work perfectlly, because I was in Wal-Mart looking around. I came acrossed the dumbell and just picked it up, and its cushy. Right there in the middle of the store, I started tossing it up in the air and around from hand to hand. Within minutes I started breaking out a sweat in the middle of wal-mart. SO, this is what I plan on doing.
I’m at 5’9” 194 lb. now according to my doc visit last Friday. I put on about 8 lb. in the “center”.

I’m not nearly as fit, toned, and buff as I was when I was in high school 5-6 years ago. I used to be really skinny between 130-140 lb. at 5’8”. Since the doc decided to place me on a med awhile back (which I’ve been off of for quite sometime), I gained weight as soon as he put me on it – shot up to around 180-190 lb. at 5’9”. I mainly need to get rid of my belly and love handles and tighten up my chest a bit. (but ALL would be great). I work on dieting and exercising when I can. Sometimes when you are out of town and on a budget, its difficult to stay on task … I also have dentures … so that kindof limits some of the healthy stuff that I can eat … especially when I take them out to let my gums rest for awhile.
- Since I’ve gained weight, the lowest I’ve gotten down to was during a 3 or so month workout, water, and dieting binge, in which I got back down to about 170 lb. I didn’t stick with it though and got into some BAD HABITS, such as drinking heavily. The heaviest I EVER GOT was 194 lb.
- I forget what my BMI and body fat percentage is at this time. I might add that later, but basically: ...
My goal is to get down to about 160 lb. (no belly, no lovehandles, just rock solid muscles … less than 10% body fat.) THEN, I wish to (slowly) build my way up to 200 lb. (and land in a zone of 200 lb. of mostly muscle)
I get so busy, so I need a lot of assistance to help me stay on track with this one.
