I have these materials to make a quilt with, and I could make time to do it. I just don’t have a sewing machine, haha C:

I cut out all the squares for the top, so I’ll probably start sewing tomorrow. It should end up being 5 by 6 feet.
I still need to get fabric for the back and binding though…

When my first quilt is finished, I want to give it to my grandma. One, because I know she will love(or at least pretend to love) anything I make for her. Two, I get so happy at the idea of giving someone the gift of warmth.

I’m working on completing my first strip quilt. My aunt has decided to begin holding a quilting class for all us girls. It’s a great way for everyone to get together and talk and reconnect. I never would have dreamed it would be so much fun to sew together some fabric with family. ;)
I’ve got a pattern all set and about 3/4 of the fabric I need to get started.

I found a 4 week class to take in February. I am going to try to get someone to take it with me so that it will be more fun.
I started sewing with a sewing machine in third grade, got my own machine in middle school, but I have recently stopped sewing. I have never attempted to make a quilt, since it’s a little different than sewing skirts and such, but that’s one of my goals in the next few months (once I find fabric I like).
