Kevin almost has his to-do list tackled!?
I’m heavier now than I was last year, so I have more to lift, and pull-ups have gotten harder for me. I can do about 13 of them now, whereas I could do 18 in the past. On the upside, the weight that I’ve gained is all muscle, and I am much stronger in every other area of my body, and probably my back too, so it’s not really a loss, but still, I like moving toward goals, not away…
Maybe I should change this one, as I’m not sure it really represets what I want to accomplish.

So I read that 70% of men at the average health club can’t do a single pull-up. I feel good that I can do more than that, and that’s enough for me. I’m still working on this, though.

I’m up to 18 now!
I was working out with a Serbian friend, and he said about not going all the way down between repetitions (sic) “that is bullshit.” I’ve decided to not worry so much about the number I can do, and to focus instead on the quality of each exercise, as that is what really matters.

Wow, I’m almost able to do a few one-armed! Offsets really help with this, so I’ll keep on until it is mine. Woo!

I’m getting out the rock rings tonight! It’s gonna kick butt, and my arms will be so happy.

I haven’t really been working on this goal for a couple of weeks now. I think it has something to do with how cold it is outside, but I’m probably just using that as an excuse to be lame. Anyway, I cann still do at least 12 on any day regardless of how I am feeling at the timee, so that’s worth something I guess.

I want to eventually get so I can do them one-armed in case I ever lose an arm (actually just because it’s bad-ass). I am going to start doing more offset pullups (one arm on a good hold, the other on a bad hold) because I’ve been told that’s how you get the strength for one-arm.

So, there’s this awesome thing called a hangboard made by Metolius, for Rock Climbers, and I think that I’m going to buy one tonight to take to the dorm with me!
I’m back down to about 12 right now, because I’ve taken a few weeks off, but I’m going to make it back to 16, and then try for 20.
