Friday Jan. 4 2008 @ 1:40 am EST is supposed to be the peak time of the Quadrantid meteor shower.

I stepped out my friends house, we looked up and saw what we thought was a shooting star. Ended up seeing about twenty meteorites that night, some with bright green/blue tails that you only see in the movies.
