How I did it: My cousin invited me to go over one weekend. Me and four of his friends went. We waited for like three hours to do a five-minute jump but man that five minutes was so worth it! And you have no idea how satisfying it is to be able to talk about skydiving in the context of having done it before. If you have the opportunity... do it! Read how I did it…
How I did it: I finally decided I was going to do it. I researched some places and decided on one. Made my appointment, and went and did it!! If you get delayed by weather, like I did, just wait around. It is worth it!! Read how I did it…
How I did it: my husband (boyfriend at the time) knew it was something i want to do some day, so he surprised me the day before my bithday. he wouldn't tell me where we were going and once we got there I didn't say a word until it was over. glad I did it. never again. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I brought friends with me, so I had the courage to go through with it. There was a group of us. We went through a brief training, then signed our lives away. Then took turns going up in the plane. Read how I did it…

How I did it: my boyfriend (at the time) and I flew to Las Vegas where my besty lives. It was both of our birthday that weekend. There was a bachelorette/bachelor party that weekend too. My besty picked us up from the airport and my man didn't tell her where we were going. He only told her where to go. We drove and drove until I saw an airport.... I totally thought we were going to do an airplane ride-- all of us. My man said that i was going to be goi… Read how I did it…

I said yes to the friend who put the idea in my head, paid my deposit, and am taking two friends on a road trip… they don’t know that I’m jumping, they think we’re just going to support the birthday girl. Boy will they be surprised!
I’ve put myself down for the dvd / pics too… it makes it very expensive but I figure I will regret it if I don’t. I want to be able to brag!
Can’t wait.
I’m terrified. :)
By the end of the year I will have registered to skydive for The Miscarriage Association by June next year. This charity is important to me because I recently suffered an early miscarriage and their support helped me realise it was not my fault.

Indoor or outdoor, i just want something to make me feel free. Somthing to say that i lived my life to the fullest, and it wasn’t just another assortment of wasted days. And i’d love it if i could take a friend up there with me :] so we could let gravity pull us toward the earth at dangerous speeds.
And i’m scared of heights, so i’ll face the fear :D

A recent review in Psychology Today has provided useful insight into my own make-up. I wanted to know why I would even want to skydive, mountain climb, and crave risk when I spend my days helping people manage risk. The theory is that the pursuit of danger is the only way to protect the inner force America was founded on, or to define the self. . .the inclination to take high risks may be hard-wired into the brain, intimately linked to arousal and pleasure mechanisms, and may offer such a thrill that it functions like an addiction.

I keep trying to book this but it keeps being put off!!! The people in the skyline office are really bugging me.
I was told they’d find out immediately (on Friday) if I could go on the 25th, but they’ve still not sent me a confirmation email!! Very frustrating!! But hopefully it will still happen. :)

Okay, so the weird part about this goal is that I closed it out (“gave up”) several months ago, thinking that it wasn’t necessarily at the top of the list of things to do, but rather something I always thought about in the back of my mind as eventually doing. This weekend, Groupon (a site that utilizes the power of collective buying to get great deals) offered an amazing deal on a tandem skydiving flight and my boyfriend and I decided to go for it. Soooo…we bought the Groupons, and are just waiting for the perfect time to schedule our skydive. I’m really excited, and not nervous at all yet.
za8 is very very grateful
Its either working hard to get $700 or I ll just tick this off if i get to go bungee jumping.
