sitting on the dining table.
I made the border on Sunday morning, and haven’t bothered to look at it since then.
Do I really want to complete it?
I’m not so sure anymore! Frankly, right now sitting down to do this feels like a waste of time.

In a world of uncertainty, they are proof that – every once in a blue moon – there’s also room for predictability.
There’s a big stack of puzzles in the closet. But my puzzle board has long been doing duty as a table of sorts collecting a bunch of miscellaneous stuff and being used for near-at-hand storage. Time to do something about that.
What I’d like is to do some big ones—like 2000 and 3000+ pieces. I’ve been wanting to for a very, very long time now. Done all manner up through 1000, but none bigger.

since I did a big jigsaw. Obviously I’ve been doing lots of smaller ones with the small people but I’d love to do a big one again. I have good memories of spending many a rainy sunday afternoon putting together a jigsaw. Time I dug out all my old ones or took a trip down to the local charity shop. Fingers crossed all the pieces will be there.
Julie is procrastinating (as usual).
I really want to build a puzzle. I’ve never tried a big one before. I want to put one together that’s at least 200+ pieces. The 100 ones only last a few minutes! I want to start from around 200 and work my way up. I have a low attention span, so that’s why I have to work myself up! I’m surprised that not many people want to do this on 43things!
Whew! My biggest worry was that I’d get to 999 pieces and not be able to find that last piece. I feel a sense of accomplishment, like crossword puzzle people feel. (if you do crosswords, you’re smiling, if you don’t do crosswords, you’re thinking, should I add ‘do crosswords’ to my list of 43 things?’...anywho. Finishing 1000 piece puzzles is not exactally interesting conversation fodder.
Me: I just finished a 1000 piece puzzle.
Girl: Um…
Me: Yeah, I feel a real sense of accomplishment.
Girl: Well, my friends just showed up, it was nice talking to you.
Here’s the thing about puzzles – if you are a procrastanitor, then go buy a puzzle. I think this thing took three months to accomplish. I had too many books that I’m not reading, so I bought a puzzle….and now that I’m ranting, I’ll say this about completing the puzzle. It allows you the tangable evidence to decide if your other goals in life are something you’ll just always talk about, or something you’re going to do something about.
The edges are completed and if you weren’t looking at the box you would be able to make out the general idea of what the picture looks like.
