well i work at a cashmere store (mount cashmere) and i totally recommend wearing cashmere; but try a whole lot on before you buy it, because cashmere is really hard to keep in good shape, plus its super expensive when its pure. if you have sensitive skin (like it gets itchy really easily) dont wear cashmere, because it can get uncomfortable. if you do end up buying something, get two-ply, because its comfortable and you can wear it in warmer weather. dont just try something on in one color, because different dyes make the cashmere softer or harder. also, ask for a locals discount, which should be ten percent. to protect the cashmere, buy some cedar blocks, which keep the moths away.
hope that helps.

Texas Lin starting to get into the holiday spirit
on my skin is heavenly. My very favorite sweater was a ruby cashmere cableknit. It was so beautiful.
One day I went to put it on and a moth had eaten a hole in it. I was devastated. This Fall I will get another but I have to learn how to protect it better.
My mother spoke highly of cashmere sweaters – I finally bought one – it was good but not fantastic – also very fragile
