Weather and other Distractions 3 months ago

I usually run 30 minutes or more each day but if it’s raining or freezing cold, I don’t. Also, there are so many distractions that I have (schoolwork, other sports, traveling). Now, I try to get everything done quicker so that I have time for exercise.

I began in May, after the weather became dependable and I purchased some nice Asics.

Now I have a heart rate monitor and watch taht beeps when below 133 bpm and above 152 bpm, which is my optimum aerobic rate. Technically I am outside for more than 30 minutes, but at this target heart-rate for 30 solid minutes.

I think the best time to walk is in the morning, before my shower, and after a few Egoscue e-cises. I am doing ankle and foot strength and upper back and shoulder posture e-cises before the run.

I’ve been listening to podcasts and books-on-ipod, which has really helped the 30 minutes fly.
