I believe the way to experience a billion is to first become the kind of person who has a billion. In other words, being a billionaire is an internal state. Once I’ve achieved that, the external world will conform to my internal reality.

Again, in different words:

For me, it is not really about having a billion as much as it is a personal journey of self-growth on the way to being the kind of man who has a billion.

The billion itself is merely the chosen superficial, arbitrary marker used in the external world as a yardstick.
