Help has been found! 5 months ago

I stumbled across a site (God bless technology) called city-data.com. You can search the site for a particular city, and people are asking questions, commenting, and usually pretty familiar with the areas (since it’s a forum you can’t be too sure). WELL, I was blessed to put in a entry about my 3 cats and I needing an acceptable apartment. I had over 200 views of my post, and plenty of useful replies. So, I recommend all you travellers to check out the site, and if you’re in Raleigh or been there, please help me out!

SO, goal one…find an apartment that will take three felines!

I spent Monday and Tuesday in NC with my best friend (who was stellar enough to go with me) looking for apartments. I’m really excited about my pick, now we just need to put in our application as the move is about six weeks away.

It’s wildly romantic, this leap of faith. I’m rarely one to dwell on romance, but I can’t help it right now. The move involves significant sacrifices intermingled with uncertainties – but it wouldn’t be romance otherwise.

The photograph is me with Juan of Tasca Brava – one of the many reasons I can’t wait to be an NC gal.

Time to start over! 5 months ago

I’m ready to begin another journey, and it includes Raleigh, NC. I believe I’ve finally decided (mentally) that this year is the year! I haven’t accomplished finishing college in Alabama BUT I’ve learned more than I would have ever planned on learning. I want to leave and begin again. Of course, there are plenty of reasons not to go…but the reasons to go seem so much more appealing!

I’m ready.

Just don’t know where to begin first.

From Florida to NC 7 months ago

I moved from MN to FL for 10 years and then decided on NC as a happy medium, great people, great climate, nice work environment. I live just outside Raleigh, and 1 1/2 hours from the ocean, 3 hours to the mountains. 5 hours south of DC. and a 1.25 hours flight back to FL. I was amazed at how much house you can get here for the money, I live in a great neighborhood on 2.5 acre lot. with a stream and dear are a regular occuarance in my backyard. One of my needs was porfessioanl Hockey team, GO HURRICANES!! also, I am a regualr triathlete, great biking community. I am a Realtor and would love to help anyone who is looking for a home to give me a shout, there are some GREAT deals to be had here, banks see this as a great market so they’re not requiring a high down payment!

Sometime soon... 13 months ago

I am planning on moving to Raleigh because my sister lives there and really loves it (and just happens to need a roommate). Having just finished up college, I am kind of up for anything right now, and I am just hoping that I can find a job once I get there. I have visited a couple of times before, and know just how beautiful it is. The only thing I might have trouble with is adjusting to the climate, having lived in Colorado and Wyoming my whole life and loving the snow! I am hoping that this will be a good thing for me.

I am looking to move as soon as I finish my MAT, hopefully by the end of this school year. Since I am a high school teacher, I’m hoping my job hunt won’t be terribly trying.

I live in NC and now, as a Realtor®, I have the opportunity to help others do the same. I’ve lived in the Morehead City, Boone, and Hickory/Morganton/Lenoir areas, and I’d be glad to help anyone with information on homes, neighborhoods, and things to do in those areas, or in finding a real estate agent in any part of NC.

NC All My Life Time To Move 2 years ago

I have lived in NC all my life. I have lived in the house my husband and I have most of my life. And its time to move.
My husband and I would like to sell our house.
But with the way things are in the ecomomy a real estate agent would jack the price up to high…and people cant afford it.
The house..if anyone is interested..was built in 1966..brick ranch..3 bedrooms-1 bath-kitchen/den combo-living room w/hardwood floor-full basement-which at one time was an apartment so its ready for a kitchen..theres a sink down there-and it has a full bath all on .26(1/4ac) land on semi private dead end road…no pine trees…3 pecans on property..hmm pecan pies..
We have..within 5 years replaced the furnace-air-gutters-thermostat-breaker-meter boxes-tub upstairs-hot water heater-drain field-stove-fridge-washer.But before we could get to remodeling the inside (to be honest..inside needs a bit of sheet rock repair..strip cabinets add new counter top lay out new floor and add some paint..replace a couple of cracked windows your done and can do it for under 3500 if your careful and hire a good person to do it..less if you DIY)
As I said..or maybe I didnt..I was raised here..Im the youngest of 4…so 4 kids..2 parents…our friends always staying over..so this house can hold a lot..you should have been here during a family reunion…aunts-uncles-cousins-granny-us-over 60 people.
Anyway back on track now….We owe under 75,000 on the house. The house is 1152sq.ft..(inside living sq.ft is 1054) the basement is the same size. And all we want..is this:
We want someone to just take over our loan..however you do that..buyer(you if interested)pays the fees..the seller(us)agrees to sell it ONLY FOR WHAT IS OWED…The buyer(you again)agree to give us 3 weeks AFTER the house/loan is in your name and we owe nothing..we ask for 3 weeks because we had a buyer a couple of years ago who, on the day of the signing, had a traggic event happen, backed out, and we lost over 3000.00 in deposits.
The house is located between, and less than an hour from, Charlotte-Asheville-Hickory-and Greenville SC, in Rutherford County(parts of Dirty Dancing where made here)
If ANYONE is truly interested please email me at lintru63@yahoo.com
