I want to volunteer with my church and with Habitat with Humanity.
People doing this are also doing these things:

eightofeight is clearing her mind, heart soul and life of clutter, little by little
Every year, for about 5 years, I had one or two places I volunteered on a part-time basis, each with different time limits. I’ve worked with kids, animals, elders, and have volunteered at museums and public gardens.
I find the act of volunteering-no matter what it is-to be very good for the mind and soothing to the soul. I also found that at some of lowest points in my life it was my salvation.
I’ve had to stop recently, but I still consider it a part of my life; I know I will again.
Cheers to all for making this something “to do.”
I would volunteer regularly back in the day, but due to the same old reasons (too busy, too this or that) I haven’t been and would really like to give my time regularly
but I think I can check it off because now, in addition to everything else, I am phone banking for Planned Parenthood’s Campaign for Teen Safety once a week to inform voters about the importance of voting NO on Prop. 73 in CA. My next goal will likely be to find a good family volunteer opportunity.
I am on the Board at my church now, which has been great so far. I have also attended many volunteer activities, but I feel like those have been isolated events. I want something more ongoing. I am breaking in to do some political volunteering for Planned Parenthood (to defeat Prop 73), and will do some legal volunteering should Prop 73 pass in November. I am also getting involved in the League of Women Voters. I feel like I want to do something more hands on though. But what?
I volunteered at animal shelters for a couple years. I have not been in a while and I think that I will get back to the shelter.
I am now volunteering regularly for my church-like thing. I am also volunteering for planned parenthood doing legal stuff.
It used to say just “volunteer,” but I added “on a regular basis” because I have volunteered since I added this goal, but the point is to make it a regularly occurring event in my life.
