make a platonic friend of the opposite sex

someone to chat with, discuss issues of common interests, challenge each other for success or growth, watch movies and work out together. I need to loose a few pounds. Will also like watch basketball together and possibly play tennis

I’m on here looking for a guy or lady who I can write/speak to and even share our big interests in the music and other works of Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen or similar artists. It might be a long shot but it’s worth a try.

I love my Husband, but apart from motorcycles and humour and working well together, we have little in commmon. He doesn’t get TV, or jokes, or cats. I have two which he hates. I love history, Nat Geographic, etc, which he takes the piss out of. I read a lot 1-4 books a day, of all genres except autobiographies. He also hates me reading!

I have a lot of platonic male friends, and I enjoy them.

always brings something interesting to a debate. i love my male friends, they are fabulous!

because I spend so much time with my sons, and I’ve always been around boys. I have no problem being friends with men. I can even talk cars or sports, if I have to.

with members of the opposite sex left me perplexed. I have marked this done and worth doing.

They laughed and said it was impossible to have a platonic friendship with the opposite sex. They say whenever a guy is a “friend ” he is hanging on to the possibility it could always lead to more.

I laughed and stood by my original statement. They shook their heads and smiled.
