*Mama Bear* doubts she'll be back... but thanks to everyone for everything!!!!
Really, I’ve got the technique… It’s just about practicing. And stop being a fucking wuss when the weather isn’t up to it!! Rolle-blading shouldn’t be confined as a strictly summerish activity!!
So, I’ll just mark this as done, even though I am far from being the talented roller-blader I want to be. But this should be part of a new broader goal of mine (Become Athletic).
Regular practice will turn me into one of those roller-bladers that make me drool… :)

Did it last weekend, and it was awesome. Using the pushchair was so great for balance and self-confidence. And little sunshine loved that it was going so fast :)
Only minus point: I really must learn how to brake when I’m going so fast. It’s scary.
Hope it won’t rain tomorrow, so I can practice again… I really had fun with it last week!!!

Just bought inliners for my son (almost 3), and hubby is ready to learn along, so this is a family enterprise :D

(together with the very exciting scanning of my old photographs!).
I have tried this before, when I first bought my rollerblades some… 8 or 9 years ago (swallow). But I kept getting horrible cramps in my feet (and I did relax damn it!).
Plus, I was living on the French Riviera at the time, and the fancy marina was just packed with really good skaters and rollerbladers showing off. Not the best place to learn :S
The most stupid thing about this goal is that I could rollerskate as a kid!! Even took some damn classes. But I lost it all.
Anyway. Now I have a plan! I’ll be using my son’s push chair as a helper (I’m sure my son will find it hilarious to have me goofing around behind him like that!). This should help me with the balance and the terrible fear of falling (because, surely, I will die if I fall). And perhaps help with the cramps?
I also have my rollerskates ready in case I think that’s easier.
My ultimate goal with this is to become so good that next spring, when the good weather starts again, I’ll be getting up at 5 am to rollerblade through the whole city before it awakes. Wow, I’d really really love that…
I think I’ll look for some inspiring pic to hang on the wall, so this stays alive in my mind. Otherwise I know myself… It’ll be Christmas by the time I realize I haven’t even tried once :p

Well,I’ve learnt to rollerblade 8 years ago but in 2006 I started to rollerblade Agressive Style, and I’m getting better and better now.I think you should learn to do it because it’s really cool and relaxing and it’s worth it! :)

I’ve been thinking about this for a while. It sounds like a fast way to get about town, good exericise and good for your balance, what else do you want?
