progress...

well, i was staff for a rave for new years, helped set up all the audio equipment and such and such… i’ll probably be doing this somewhat regularly from now on, so this will be great experience for the end-goal of throwing my own parties with my friends sometime in the future. PROGRESS ACHIEVED =)

It requires money (your own or most likely an investor) and connections. It helps to have been a rave promoter first, doing small promoting jobs for parties, helping out with events, getting to know the scene, the people who throw the raves. You have to learn the risks involved and what precautions to take to avoid those risks. I’ve been raving for 4 years and promoting for almost 3 and i still dont feel comfortable with the thought of putting together an event where I’m in charge! one day though

Seems like it would just require some starting capital and some connections. Get your permits, be responsible, invest some money in a good venue, seems like it’s within reach. Hopefully in the next 10 years I’ll get to do this, keep on saving =)
