different ideas, sure…
but her writing is, in a word, incredible.
i started with fountianhead
and have now read all her novels.
fountianhead is the best, and the movie doesn’t compare.
however, the anthem is short, so you can go that route if you want…
anway, this is worth doing, for sure.
How to read an Ayne Rand book
How I did it: Some time ago I decided I should read some classic novels. I had become disappointed in the style of modern authors, many stories read like a movie script and lacked the writing techniques that would keep me interested in turning the page. I went to used book stores and bought Twain, Hemingway, Steinbeck, Sir Walter Scott, etc. I had a copy of Ayne Rand's Atlas Shrugged for some time but was intimidated by its number of pages. I finally gave it a try.
I tackled Atlas Shrugged the way I approach many tasks, by steadily poking away at it until I was done. What a story!

I read We the Living. It’s a short one. I could not for the life of me get through Atlas Shrugged. Oh and then I hated her philosophy on top of it all. ugh.
Read “Atlas Shrugged”, and don’t mind the people who tell you how crazy Rand was.
