Worth doing!

i have it installed and it was pretty easy. used mediawiki and they have fairly good documentation. though i still haven’t figured out how to forward another domain to it and use correct file paths…the css links don’t work when i forward to it. but it’s still installed ;)

Worth doing!

I Installed mediawiki on one of our servers and its really worth it.. it is online collaborative writing tools for which my BPR Manager Loves me… though he needs some time to get used to it.. but it is worth every hour I spent installing the server for it

The Exprerience is worth doing it…

Well I cheated, much of it was handled by a script, but I installed a MediaWiki wiki on my site today.

I installed Instiki on my server and it works great. I now need file upload capabilities, though.

Grabbed some wiki space at http://cached.wikispaces.org and have started on my biographical wiki.

Having some fun!

I’ve worked with a several different wiki engines, some on my own (or friends’) machines. Instiki is definitely the best choice for beginners with Macs (and, quite possibly, non-beginners as well)...

Biographical Wiki  — 3 years ago

Worth doing!

I want to make a Wiki about me. Stuff I’ve done, want to do etc.

Looking at WikiCities – http://www.wikicities.com – update – not for personal wiki’s.

Got one! http://www.wikispaces.org has personal wiki spaces for nix!

So, I’m at http://cached.wikispaces.org . Cool!

Love my wiki  — 3 years ago

Worth doing!

I have twiki installed at work and instiki installed on my USB thumb drive. It’s a lot more work when I’m doing it alone, but it’s an easy tool to use.

Many Wikis  — 3 years ago

Worth doing!

I’ve managed to get Wiki’s accepted in the workplace, and also use one for my own personal stuff. Grocery lists, Movies I want to see, API keys I can never remember… I’ve found it very useful. Obviously if you have any personal info you don’t want to share, password protect your wiki. I myself like UseMod Wiki for it’s simplicity.

I’ve used yawikii and mediawiki – media wiki is definitely a more mature and useable product.
