find my church home

I have not been looking – I think that I want to avoid a mega-church and find a little storefront place…or one of those churches that meet in a school cafeteria on Sundays…just something small and not so intense as my last home….I dont know…

its time to find my new church home. my last church, I loved dearly but then some things happened that didnt bear witness with my spirit. I left, asking God for direction – do I go back, do I not? Its been six weeks and I’ve been missing services so much.

The parable of the shepard and the 100 sheep…one sheep gets lost so the shepard leaves the 99 to go after the one…my shepard didnt come to look for me. Not a phone call, not a note. I was not a “pew warmer” I was a visible and active member…I’m grieved by it all.

Its one thing to feed yourself the Word, its another to be fed. I’m ready to be fed again. I want to be led to the right church home, I dont like “church shopping”. Some good folks I know belong to a well known congregation and I’ve heard very good things about it. So I’m going to visit next Sunday.
